MISSION & VISION.
Our mission is to plug into stories on gender in the Arctic; with the hopes of filling policy gaps, and to augment past, and to inspire present and future research. In doing so, we envision a space that fosters cross-border conversations in a region that is ever changing and geographically challenging.
Plan A started as a conversation between friends and scholars at a conference on Arctic/Northern women, well below the Arctic Circle. The conversation hasn’t stopped since, spurring an ambition to weave together research on and the lived experiences of gender in the Arctic with the conviction that they should not come second in the Arctic, but are part and parcel of Plan A. Today, Tahnee Prior leads the project, co-building Plan A with a network of dedicated individuals who are passionate about the future of the Arctic.
